Colin Donnell Cast In The CW Drama Pilot 'Arrow'

 Deadline is reporting that New York stage actor Colin Donnell has been cast in the CW drama pilot Arrow. Donnell will play Tommy Merlyn, Oliver’s best friend, a playboy “trustafarian” who assumes the good times will roll again now that Oliver has returned, only to learn Oliver is a changed man.The CW drama pilot Arrow is a a modern retelling of the story of DC Comics character Green Arrow that stars Stephen Amell as the vigilante superhero who fights crime using archery, martial arts and technology under his secret identity as Oliver Queen, a wealthy playboy and billionaire industrialist-turned-outspoken politician in Star City.
