RoboCop - 'OmniCorp' Viral Video
Reported by Outsiders - 10:44 AM 2012.07.10

A brand new "Robocop" movie starring Joel Kinnaman (from AMC's TV series 'The Killing') as Alex Murphy, a fatally wounded police officer who returns to the force as a highly-advanced cyborg. But if you're dying to see some footage from the futuristic cop redo, this viral video released by Sony's marketing team will have to do for now. Packaged as a promotional commercial from OmniCorp, the clip features a slew of gadgets and products manufactured by the fictional company. This also includes the infamous ED-209 battlefield robot, which in the Verhoeven's original was the "glitchy" earlier model to Robocop and had to be pulled from production due to an unfortunate hiccup involving an accidental shooting of an executive board member. A promo website has been launched as well, Omnicorp.com; we assume more information about the movie will be released in the days ahead as San Diego's Comic Con is about to open later in the week.

Joel Kinnaman stars as a hero cop named Alex Murphy who is brought back from the brink of death and turned into a cyborg police officer.

Robocop stars Joel Kinnaman, Gary Oldman, Hugh Laurie, Samuel L. Jackson, Abbie Cornish

Release: August 2013
