'Independence Day 3D', 'X-Men' And 'Planet Of The Apes' Sequels Set For 2014

Twentieth Century Fox made some changes to the 2013-2014 release schedule as well as some date changes.
With the success of $344 million worldwide for TITANIC 3D, the studio and director Roland Emmerich, will produce a top quality 3D version of the iconic INDEPENDENCE DAY. ID43D will be released worldwide on July 3, 2013.
The studio has three major movies in the works for the 2014 summer. The first movie from Fox, Disney and Dreamworks is the release of Steven Spielberg’s epic ROBOPOCALYPSE to go worldwide on April 25, 2014. On May 23rd, 2014, Fox releases DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES worldwide, the sequel to the $483 million grossing RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES. Rupert Wyatt, who helmed the 2011 smash, returns to direct. Lastly with the release being on July 8th, 2014 will be the currently untitled X-MEN, to be directed by Matthew Vaughn.
For the end of the year, Fox announced its Christmas 2013 line-up, with THE SECRET LIFE OF WALTER MITTY, starring Ben Stiller and Kristin Wiig, and directed by Ben Stiller, set for Christmas Day. The studio has also shifted its WALKING WITH DINOSUARS from October 11 to December 20, 2013. The film is based on the massively successful TV series and live show.
Moving from March 15th to August 16th, 2013 is PERCY JACKSON: SEA OF MONSTERS, based on Rick Riordan’s publishing phenomenon. An untitled comedy starring Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy will land in theaters April 5th, 2013 and coming out on May 24th, 2013 is EPIC. This comes from the makers of Ice Age and Rio with Beyoncé Knowles headlining the voice cast. Also joining the cast are Josh Hutcherson, Amanda Seyfried, Johnny Knoxville, Aziz Ansari, Jason Sudeikis, Steven Tyler, Blake Anderson and Judah Friedlander.
