Greatest American Hero Heading To The Big Screen?!?
Reported by Jay Cochran - 12:00 AM 2008.09.10

Stephen J. Cannell, the creator of that classic 80's "Greatest American Hero" series confirmed for fans the following at the Screen Actors Guild foundation's 75th anniversary:

"We've written a screenplay, and we've hired a director, and we're in the midst of putting this together for the future."

It is being reported that the director is Stephen Herek (Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure). The show's original stars Connie Sellecca, William Katt and Robert Culp will have cameos according to Cannell.

The Greatest American Hero centered on Ralph Hinkley (Katt), a teacher who comes into possession of a red alien suit that endows its wearer with superpowers--but not the instruction manual on how to use the suits powers. Culp played a FBI agent who was Hinkley's partner and Sellecca played his girlfriend.
