Warner Bros. To Bring Salvation To Terminator In 2009
Reported by Jay Cochran - 05:00 PM 2007.10.10

Source: Variety

Warner Bros. is planning to re-start the Terminator franchise with "Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins," a movie that seeks to reinvent the cyborg saga with a storyline to be told over a three-picture span. The first movie is slated to hit theaters in the summer of 2009, and will be set in the future where a full-scale war between Skynet and humankind is taking place. It remains unclear at this point if Arnold Schwarzenegger will have any kind of involvement in this next batch of movies. It mainly depends on his desire and availability, along with what the director wants.

Warner Bros. is also producing a small screen "Terminator" adaptation, "The Sarah Connor Chronicles," for the Fox Network’s midseason schedule.
