Pink Panther & Pals Premieres on Cartoon Network

 Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures (MGM) and Rubicon Group Holding today announced that PINK PANTHER & PALS, the first new Pink Panther series in seventeen years, will premiere Sunday, March 7th at 7:30AM on Cartoon Network.PINK PANTHER & PALS continues the hilarious adventures of one of the most-beloved animated characters of all time, the one-and-only Pink Panther. Each show contains two episodes of a teenage Panther and his buddies, and one episode featuring the Ant & the Aardvark characters. "Pink Panther is one of the best-known characters in animation history," observed Rubicon's Executive Producer David J. Corbett who continued, "Cartoon Network getting behind this new series by featuring new episodes every Sunday this spring is giving Panther fans across America something new to laugh about." Executive Producer and Oscar©-winner (Best Picture, In the Heat of the Night) Walter Mirisch agrees with Corbett adding, "The Pink Panther is one of those rare characters that parents trust yet he is also versatile enough to entertain generation after generation." PINK PANTHER & PALS is based upon the animated Pink Panther character created by David DePatie and Friz Freleng and the Pink Panther films of Blake Edwards. David J. Corbett, Isam S. Ayoubi and Walter Mirisch are serving as Executive Producers with Joe Patrick, Executive Vice President of Domestic Television, overseeing the series for MGM, and Randa Ayoubi, CEO, in that role for the Rubicon Group Holding.
